The Test Engineering Supervisor is a pivotal role in orchestrating and optimizing software testing for our warehouse robotics environment. This position demands technical expertise, operational leadership, and strong collaboration skills to drive efficient testing processes and maximize the performance of our robotic fleet. The Test Engineering Lead partners with software developers, hardware engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless testing operations, resource allocation, and problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Resource Planning
Forecast testing demand based on project roadmaps and scale team capabilities accordingly.
Plan and execute team growth in alignment with organizational needs.
Manage a cross-functional team of test technicians across multiple shifts.
Optimize resource deployment to meet evolving test priorities and technical requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate daily with Engineering, Product, Technical Operations, and Warehouse leadership to align short-, mid-, and long-term objectives.
Monitor testing progress and provide structured, timely updates to stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between the test team and internal customers to ensure test alignment and visibility.
Gather detailed requirements to ensure accurate and effective test setup and execution.
Test Planning & Execution
Lead daily test stand-up meetings to prioritize activities and align with project milestones.
Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and procedures.
Schedule and allocate resources for ad hoc and recurring software and system-level tests.
Oversee test execution, ensuring adherence to protocols and timely issue resolution.
Organize and maintain test cells; ensure test environments meet safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness standards.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Identify and implement improvements to enhance test process efficiency, product quality, and resource utilization.
Resolve bottlenecks in test planning and execution through proactive troubleshooting and collaboration.
Drive initiatives to align test practices with industry standards and internal best practices.
Additional Contributions
Coordinate and conduct robot demonstrations for external stakeholders and customers.
Provide hands-on support to hardware engineering, mechanical service, and field deployment teams.
Ensure adherence to relevant safety protocols and compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other applicable standards.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelorβs degree in software development, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Experience: 3+ years leading test or operations teams, preferably in robotics or automation.
Proven experience as a hiring manager.
Skills:
Expertise in JIRA, Google Suite, Stretch Web Interface (SWI), and Linux.
Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications: Robotics and Automation Certification (preferred).

Up to 10%
