The Chip Security IP Team is looking for internship candidates to work on cutting edge security enhancements to Marvell's Cloud, Data Center, Carrier, Fibre Channel, Switch, Storage, and Automotive System-On-Chip (SOC) solutions. In this position the candidate will work with technology experts to write new firmware/software for embedded Hardware Security Modules and develop provisioning software to enable security features for manufacturing introduction.

What You Can Expect

As an intern on the Chip Security IP team, you will:

  • Work with technology experts to write new firmware/software for embedded Hardware Security Modules
  • Develop provisioning software to enable security features for manufacturing introduction
  • Participate in designing, developing, enabling, and porting the advanced security/trusted firmware and embedded system software stack
  • Gain exposure to industry-leading security solutions and play a role in enabling those solutions for Marvell SoCs

What We're Looking For

  • Must be currently pursuing a master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields with an anticipated graduation date between Winter 2026 and Spring 2026
  • Prior coursework or experience in ARM or other embedded systems
  • Proficiency in C

Knowledge/Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Caliptra
  • Rust programming
  • Hands on experience in ARM core-based development boards
  • Linux device driver/HAL enabling/porting
  • GitHub/Repo experience
  • ARM TrustZone, Trusted Firmware, Trusted Execution Environment
  • ARM Assembly programming
  • Cryptography knowledge/Security protocols, e.g. data integrity, digital certificate, crypto schemes, IPSec, TLS/SSL, SPDM, etc.
  • Any security usage scenario

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

32 - 64, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
