The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the infrastructure, tooling, frameworks, and capabilities needed to welcome a billion customers.
You’ll join the Internationalisation Platform squad within the Editorial Design Platform R&D Studio. This team sits at the intersection of design systems, content, and platform engineering—building the tools and infrastructure that enable Spotify to deliver high-quality, localized experiences to users around the world. From supporting multiple languages to ensuring cultural nuance across surfaces, your work will help make Spotify feel truly local, everywhere.
\nBuild and evolve fullstack solutions that power internationalisation across Spotify’s editorial and design systems
Develop scalable services and front-end experiences that support localisation, translation workflows, and global content delivery
Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other platform teams to ensure seamless international user experiences
Improve developer tooling and workflows to make it easier for teams to build globally-ready features
Contribute to architectural decisions that impact how Spotify scales across languages and regions
Write high-quality, maintainable code and help raise the bar for engineering standards across the team
Support and mentor other engineers while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture
You have strong experience as a fullstack engineer, working across both backend and frontend systems
You are experienced with building scalable web applications and distributed systems
You have a solid understanding of modern frontend frameworks and backend technologies
You care about building intuitive user experiences and high-quality developer tools
You have experience working in cross-functional teams with design and product partners
You understand or are curious about internationalisation, localisation, and global product challenges
You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to technical direction
You care about collaboration, inclusion, and creating a positive team environment
This role is based in Stockholm or London
