About the role

Software engineers at Anza are passionate builders, empathetic communicators, and proactive contributors. In this role, you’ll work on our Platform team to create the backend systems and infrastructure that power all of Anza’s product initiatives. You’ll also have influence and a seat at the table for defining the overall engineering culture of Anza and ensuring we set a high bar for software development excellence


We’re cloud native (GCP) and our technical stack is made up of TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, and PostgreSQL. We care deeply about developer experience and invest extensively into CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. We expect our engineers to have demonstrated experience with some or all of our technical stack.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Make meaningful contributions to our backend systems
  • Work cross-team to solve problems and build reusable, scalable solutions
  • Set high standards by writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code, delivering well thought out Pull Requests, and architecting scalable implementations
  • Champion technically sound and well-designed product decisions that meet our customers needs and contribute to the overall health of the platform

While no one individual will possess them all, the successful candidate will bring many of the following experiences, skills, and attributes:

  • 6+ years of hands on software engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Node.js experience (Typescript preferred)
  • Previous experience on platform team building critical systems for other teams to leverage
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, API design, performance, and software architecture
  • Experience developing cloud native applications (GCP or similar)
  • Python experience a plus
