We are looking for a Game Mathematician Intern to assist our game development team in designing, analysing, and optimizing mathematical models for our slot games. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for mathematics, statistics, and game design to gain hands-on experience in the casino gaming industry.

 

What you will do:

  • Design Mathematical Models: Assist in designing and testing the mathematical logic for new slot games, including pay tables, game mechanics, and bonus features.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse player behaviour, game performance data, and trends to optimize game mechanics and enhance player engagement.
  • RTP (Return to Player) Calculation: Support the calculation and verification of the theoretical RTP, hit frequency, and volatility levels for slot games.
  • Simulation and Testing: Run simulations to ensure the mathematical accuracy of game models, including payout distributions and randomness.
  • Documentation: Assist in creating detailed game math specifications, flowcharts, and reports for game designs and regulatory submissions. Offer detailed analysis and explanation of mathematical models
  • Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, developers, and QA teams to ensure the mathematical integrity of slot games.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in mathematical tools and software such as Excel, C# or Python.
  • Basic understanding of probability theory, combinatorics, and statistics.
  • Interest in casino games and game theory is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Good communication skills for presenting mathematical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
