As a General Accountant, you will contribute to Boston Dynamics’s short-term and long-term OKR’s and leading organizational development through improved efficiencies and accurate financial reporting. The General Accountant is responsible for general accounting, accurate financial records, and building cross-functional stakeholder relationships. The incumbent leverages strong, detail-oriented analytical and problem-solving skills, and must have the ability to recognize and understand the cross functional impact of transactions. To thrive in this role, you must have strong communication skills, proficiency in excel, and the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple engagements and manage rapidly changing assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and assist in the monthly close process, prepare and review complex entries and adjustments for BD corporate accounting functions. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, general accounting, fixed asset accounting, and assisting with internal and external audits.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP principles and organizational policies.
Ensure timely preparation and/or review of accounting reconciliations and journal entries to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
Review and preparation of accounting schedules including fixed asset, prepaid expense, and amortization and depreciation schedules.
Maintain highly technical accounting knowledge and decision-making support in evaluating judgmental areas of accounting
Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive accounting policies and procedures
Maintain collaborative and pro-active communications with business partners to drive process improvements and cost reductions, while maintaining integrity and compliance with BD accounting policies.
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA License, Preferred
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving,
Strong analytical, organizational and time-management skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
