About Marvell

Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.

At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

Our Firmware (FW) team develops the embedded intelligence that powers highly integrated, high-performance optical and electrical interconnect solutions. We build advanced component platforms that include high-speed silicon photonics, transmit/receive amplifiers, controller ASICs with Marvell DSPs, and AEC (Active Electrical Cable) solutions for Ethernet and PCIe.
The team is responsible for the complete firmware lifecycle—from early product concept to New Product Introduction (NPI). This includes architecture, design, implementation, verification, validation, and system-level performance testing. Engineers work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware, firmware, and control systems operate seamlessly across a wide range of demanding conditions.
Joining this team means being part of delivering next-generation, high-speed connectivity products that enable the industry's fastest networks and data center systems.

What You Can Expect

  • Translate system and product requirements into functional, high‑quality embedded firmware.
  • Develop technical documentation including functional specifications, architecture/design documents, and test specifications.
  • Design and implement unit‑testing methodologies to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
  • Build and execute automated regression testing frameworks for continuous integration and verification.
  • Support system‑level testing and debug activities across hardware, firmware, and control loops.
  • Collaborate with remote teams and cross‑disciplinary engineers to drive products through the full development lifecycle to NPI.

What We're Looking For

  • Be pursuing a degree in electronics engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related fields

  • Have fewer than 5 final exams to graduate or fewer than one year to finish the career.

  • Experience with microprocessor architectures—at minimum ARM or RISC‑V.
  • Strong understanding of RTOS concepts, including scheduling, memory management, queuing, and interrupt handling.
  • Experience developing embedded device drivers for communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, MDIO, and UART.
  • Working knowledge of reading and understanding hardware design schematics.
  • Proficiency with version control (e.g., Git), build systems (e.g., Make/gmake, IDE environments), and auto‑documenting tools (e.g., Doxygen).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent English language proficiency.
