About Marvell
Marvellβs semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, automotive, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.
At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.
Your Team, Your Impact
Marvell's Multi Market Business Group (MBG) Group develops software (drivers and solutions) for Marvell enterprise, wireless, and automotive compute markets SoCs.
If there is a bit being processed, moved, secured, or stored in infrastructure equipment it is likely Marvell's products are involved.
The Accelerator Solutions Team in the MBG aims to be at the forefront of innovation, researching cutting-edge, emerging technologies, and creating proof of concepts as harbingers of future products.
What You Can Expect
As a Senior Technical Leader and Architect, you will drive innovations in high-performance enterprise networking, focusing on DPU and Switch SoC applications and drivers. This is an individual contributor role, where you will be responsible for designing and architecting advanced networking solutions that integrate emerging technologies such as CXL, P4, DPDK, and SAI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as an individual contributor to architect next-generation switching solutions optimized for enterprise networking environments.
- Enhancing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking capabilities, including VLANs, VXLAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and multicast technologies to support scalable, resilient enterprise networks.
- Driving innovations in network automation and programmability, leveraging P4, eBPF, and SDN-based architectures for better operational efficiency.
- Architecting high-performance switching fabrics with advanced packet processing pipelines, congestion control mechanisms, QoS policies, and telemetry support.
- Developing security-centric networking features, including 802.1X authentication, MACsec, micro-segmentation, network access control (NAC), and threat detection mechanisms.
- Collaborating with R&D teams to define the technology roadmap, ensuring the seamless integration of switch architectures into enterprise networking solutions.
- Engaging with customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders to align switch solutions with evolving enterprise and service provider networking requirements.
- Contributing to the SAI Switch community to drive Marvell Switch SoC enhancements, actively shaping open networking standards.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing switch performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and efficiency in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Establishing best practices for switch software development, including firmware, SDKs, and automation frameworks for seamless deployment.
- Mentoring teams and sharing technical expertise, fostering innovation and excellence within the organization.
What We're Looking For
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 17+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 12-15 years of experience, or a PhD with 10-12 years of experience.
- Strong expertise in low-latency transport protocols like RoCE, RDMA, and DPU, with experience in Ethernet switches/routers and enterprise network protocols.
- Strong expertise in HW switch usage, driver development, and building solutions with switch SoCs.
- Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise networking solutions, including switching, routing, and security architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, Perl, Python, and shell scripting, with hands-on experience in performance benchmarking.
- A solid understanding of security protocols (e.g., PSP, IPSec, TLS) and their integration with enterprise networking technologies.
- Expertise in Linux environments and system-level concepts (DMA, interrupts, memory management, synchronization).
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to influence teams and drive technical strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.
As a Technical Leader and Architect, you will be recognized as an authority in your field, shaping strategic initiatives and influencing next-generation enterprise networking solutions. You will set and champion methodologies, mentor engineers, and contribute to product development, positioning yourself as a visible leader in the organization while remaining a hands-on technical expert in networking architecture.
