Job Description

You will work on a greenfield product, based on a microservices architecture (Red Hat, Docker, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, ELK etc.) and Java 8.


Your tasks

  • Develop and test our automation tools to operate and manage our products
  • Automate the deployment and configuration of our products (Red Hat Kickstart, Puppet, Ansible)
  • Integrate and test off-the-shelf applications into our product offering
  • Develop proof of concepts
  • Identify with the development teams automatable processes and automate them
  • Support the continuous system level integration of our platform and products and identify and test relevant failure modes, resp. help identify mitigations to reduce the effects of such failure modes on regular operation of our systems
  • Support our clients in the deployment and upgrade procedures of our platform
  • All tasks will be done keeping in mind that we are operating in a safety critical domain

Qualifications

Your profile

 

  • Linux (RHEL) deployment and administration
  • IP networking know-how
  • Experience in configuration management and deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible)
  • Docker and its ecosystem
  • Experience in running large high available server based systems, operational experience of micro-services systems is an advantage
  • Experience with continuous delivery pipelines and build tools (Jenkins, Maven)
  • Experience with network and application monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana/Zabbix)
  • Scripting experience (bash, Python, Go is a plus) and a mindset to treat infrastructure as code
  • Strong focus on IT and network security, experience in an Integrated Identity Management solution is a plus (Red Hat IPA)
  • Good English skills (both written and spoken)
  • Experienced with working in an Agile team
