About the role

We are looking to hire a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for building new products and features using the latest technologies. Being part of a larger international group, you will have a lot of opportunities to create new products using your skills, but you will also get the chance to develop your career and gain new skills along the way.

Our team operates with a "Swiss Knife" mindset; we value engineers who are adaptable, technology-agnostic, and genuinely open to working with tools and platforms they haven't encountered before. We expect you to have the right communication skills to work effectively in international teams and to share your knowledge with your teammates.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Create and maintain continuous delivery and integration pipelines to support multi-disciplinary development teams in their ongoing effort.

  • Provide solutions to automate and optimize the use of infrastructure and platform technologies across cloud and on-premises environments.

  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code across primarily Azure and AWS environments.

  • Support containerized workloads through the deployment and maintenance of Kubernetes-based architectures.

  • Execute monitoring and alerting strategies for client platforms, ensuring stability and observability in production.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.

  • Collaborate with developers and application owners to align infrastructure with software requirements.

  • Produce clear technical documentation for varied audiences, as and when required.

  • Work in a dynamic environment, making use of a wide range of technologies and tools across different projects.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES DO YOU NEED?

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure role.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including module development and remote state management.

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management, automation, and application deployment.

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based architectures, including Docker.

  • Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.

  • Solid understanding of Linux-based infrastructures and Linux administration.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar.

  • A good grasp of DevOps concepts and methodologies, including IaC, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.

  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills for varied audiences.

Desirable requirements of the role

  • Experience working across both Azure and AWS in a multi-cloud context.

  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management.

  • Experience with Ansible or similar configuration management tooling.

  • Knowledge of advanced deployment strategies such as Blue/Green, Canary, or A/B testing.

  • Exposure to on-premises Linux environments and bare-metal infrastructure.

  • PowerShell scripting experience, particularly in Azure contexts.

  • Any experience with cloud security and networking concepts would be considered a strong advantage.

  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft Azur, HashiCorp, or AWS are a plus but not mandatory.

  • Be open and eager to improve and learn new technologies as projects evolve.
