Cybersecurity Specialist, Senior

Key Role:

Work with a team of expert cybersecurity specialists at Booz Allen’s European Commercial team, a cyber-focused business dedicated to helping commercial enterprises manage their cyber risks and protect themselves against the most sophisticated threats. Work with the world’s most respected brands to secure their people, infrastructure, and data, and help develop solutions to some of the most complex cyber problems. Support colleagues across the team with project delivery and client management in a wide variety of areas, including cyber strategy and risk, advanced cyber defense, cybersecurity operations, cyber threat intelligence, and incident response. Work with industry frameworks to assess the maturity of client’s cyber capabilities, research the threat landscape, and analyze client business value chains and technology stacks to identify vulnerabilities. Develop client materials to present solution designs or observations from an assessment. Support clients to contain and recover from security incidents. Work internally to help the European Commercial team grow as we develop further into this market, supporting business development activities, participating in events, and promoting the Booz Allen brand. Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity support and leading security project delivery teams in private sector organizations

  • Experience with information security and assessment frameworks, including ISO 27001 or 27002, COBIT, NIST, NIS2 or DORA

  • Experience presenting to clients, delivering workshop sessions, and developing client-facing materials

  • Knowledge of technical concepts, including operating systems, software development, or networking

  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends, and latest cyber intelligence and news

  • Ability to develop and apply risk principles to custom client situations

  • Ability to drive the identification and implementation of security solutions to resolve client problems

  • Ability to learn new and varied IT skills and concepts and develop cybersecurity expertise

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in a security operations-focused role, including incident handler, vulnerability analyst, red teamer, pen-tester, threat intelligence analyst, or threat hunter

  • Experience in a management role, including cyber strategy, maturity, or risk assessment, cyber program design, or control testing and design

  • Experience supporting business development activities, including developing proposals, client account management, or sales and pipeline management

  • Experience managing project teams and mentoring others
