We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT Department’s Cybersecurity team, in Oklahoma City, OK. This role is an in combines technical expertise with strong communication skills, as you will be on the front line protecting both the company and—most importantly—our people. The Analyst will handle daily monitoring, ticket response, and security awareness efforts while working collaboratively across IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

Ticket Response & Troubleshooting: Respond to a variety of cybersecurity-related tickets, including access issues, suspicious activity, blocked content, phishing concerns, and other security events. Investigate, document, and resolve issues or escalate them when necessary.

Security Monitoring & Analysis: Monitor alerts, events, and activity across security platforms and systems. Submit items such as emails, URLs, and files for further evaluation when required. Review system and application logs to identify suspicious activity or potential security issues.

Awareness & Training: Support the company’s security awareness and phishing simulation programs. Engage with employees to strengthen overall security awareness and resilience.

Subject Matter Expertise: Develop expertise in assigned cybersecurity tools and solutions. Assist with configuration, administration, and tuning to ensure effective protection.

Incident Response Support: Work alongside the Cybersecurity Engineer on incident response activities including business email compromises, account takeovers, and other security alerts. Participate in a rotation to monitor alerts and security emails during weekends or after hours when required.

Collaboration & Escalation: Partner with Infrastructure, Development, and Application teams to coordinate security responses and projects. Escalate complex issues to the Cybersecurity Engineer as needed. Assist on projects where operational insight and incident response knowledge are required.

What We’re Looking For

Technical Foundation: 5+ years of IT experience, ideally with a mix of system administration, network administration, or related roles. Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, security groups, and Group Policy. Familiarity with firewall administration, email filtering solutions, and log monitoring.

Cybersecurity Knowledge: Exposure to security awareness training programs, phishing simulations, and sandbox analysis tools. Understanding of security operations, incident response, and common attack methods.

Communication & People Skills: Friendly, approachable, and professional when interacting with employees at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain technical issues clearly. A passion for helping people and making security approachable, not intimidating.

Mindset & Traits: Proactive, self-motivated, and curious—willing to learn our product stack to improve incident correlation and response. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Education & Certifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications from recognized industry bodies are preferred but not required.
  • Hands-on experience is prioritized over theory.
