Senior DevOps Engineer

The Role: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with over a decade of experience architecting, automating, and scaling infrastructure across AWS and Azure. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in Linux systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native orchestration. You will lead the design and implementation of resilient infrastructure, optimize deployment pipelines, and drive best practices in system reliability, security, and
performance.
The Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Linux Systems
- Administration roles in fast-paced production environments.
- Proven expertise in both AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, Azure VMs, and storage accounts.
- Deep proficiency in Linux system administration, including performance tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Strong hands-on experience with NGINX, Apache, and related web server
configurations.
- Solid programming/scripting skills in Shell, Python, or similar languages.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD practices, pipeline automation, and DevOps workflows.
- Extensive experience managing Kubernetes in production, including Helm-based deployments and ecosystem tools.
- Good understanding of networking concepts: firewalls, DNS, VPN, routing, proxies, and load balancing.
- Strong familiarity with monitoring and observability tools and implementing SLOs/SLIs.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
The Responsibilities:
- Architect, provision, and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Configure and manage web servers (NGINX, Apache) for application delivery, SSL termination, reverse proxying, and load balancing.
- Administer and harden Linux environments, ensuring secure access, patch management, compliance, and operational integrity.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure tooling using Shell, Python, or equivalent scripting languages.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub
- Actions, or Azure DevOps to support seamless build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters, author Helm charts, and implement best practices around namespaces, ingress, secrets, and RBAC.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
- Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform for reproducible and scalable infrastructure management.
- Optimize system performance, availability, and cloud costs through proactive resource management and capacity planning.
- Define and enforce source control and branching strategies in Git, and work closely with engineering teams to streamline DevOps practices.
- Establish and maintain disaster recovery plans, including backups, multi-region failovers, and system redundancy.
- Lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of incidents across distributed services.-
- Champion DevSecOps principles, integrating security into every stage of the delivery pipeline and working cross-functionally with development, QA, security, and IT teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident management to ensure uptime and business continuity.
- Evaluate emerging tools and technologies and recommend adoption strategies to continually enhance infrastructure efficiency and resilience.
