GrowthHub is a Talent Growth Platform that is designed to empower individuals to continuously grow, professionally, by creating alignment on role-specific professional excellence definitions, highlighting growth opportunities, and providing personalized growth plans.
We’re building the future workforce of AT&T’s Technology organization, while working tightly with domain owners and top management to define what per-role excellence means, leveraging data from development tools to help infer proficiency levels, providing tailored development plans and training & learning material, and harnessing the individuals themselves for their professional and personal development.
You will be a backend developer in the GrowthHub team (50%) as well as Backend guild master in the Israel site (around 400 developers).
Senior Backend Developer Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the products’ architecture and maintain its performance in challenging circumstances
- Maintain high standards of software quality by establishing best practices
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to plan, design, develop, test and maintain extraordinary features
- Translating requirements into high-quality code
- Seeing through a project from conception to finished product
- Collaborating with a team of skilled developers to develop high-traffic, cloud-based applications
- Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and sharing best practices with the team
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, promoting continuous learning and improvement within the team
What does it mean to be a Backend guild master?
- Develop content items (internal and external meetups, blogs, workshops and internal posts) with developers from all business units
- Mentor and support developers with their professional and personal growth during the internal sessions or blogs – know to handle each one differently and assess what help they need
- Define the path forward in terms of technology and knowledge – what is important for our developers to know? Which areas needs to be investigated?
- Build new types of activities and events
- Document software patterns, best practices and other items
- Build the guilds brand in the organization and in the Israel industry
- Constantly look for ways to improve knowledge sharing and collaboration between developers from different groups
- Attend conferences and external meetups and keep an eye on the industry from technology and guilds management angle
- Promoting cross site initiatives (e.g. GuildFest, Code Katas or Hackathons)
- Find relevant study cases to be shared in the guild
