About the Role
We are in a high-growth phase and looking for a Sales Director to lead a team of 7 Account Executives across Commercial, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments. This is not just a management role—it’s a leadership opportunity for someone who can inspire, organize, and elevate a talented sales team in one of the fastest-moving markets in cybersecurity.
You’ll need to combine charisma and empathy with discipline and structure, helping reps execute consistently while shaping their opportunities into larger, more strategic deals. The ideal candidate thrives in complexity, can pivot quickly between topics, and has the resilience, creativity, and grit to drive growth in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 7 AEs across multiple segments. Build a culture of accountability, resilience, and collaboration while motivating through both data-driven insights and human connection.
- Drive Growth: Develop and execute segment-specific strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets and accelerate market penetration.
- Shape Big Deals: Partner with reps to transform pipeline opportunities into larger, more complex deals by coaching on strategy, positioning, and executive engagement.
- Operational Excellence: Stay close to AE activity and execution. Track campaign effectiveness, pipeline health, and deal progress to ensure clarity, focus, and strong forecasting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Engineers, Marketing, Sales Ops, Channel, SME Techs, and Customer Success to align go-to-market efforts, deliver compelling POVs, and enhance customer outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps, propose process improvements, and embed best practices that improve efficiency and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Leadership: 2+ years of recent experience leading enterprise, mid-market, or commercial reps in a fast-paced SaaS or cybersecurity environment.
- Sales Expertise: 5+ years of B2B, full-cycle software/security sales with a track record of new business success at the enterprise or strategic level.
- Deal Strategy: Demonstrated ability to help teams shape and negotiate complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities.
- Communication Skills: A natural storyteller and clear communicator who can inspire teams, engage customers, and influence executives.
- Organizational Agility: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable switching between strategic planning and tactical deal support.
- Experience collaborating with channel partners, resellers (VARs), and systems integrators is a strong plus, with an understanding of how to leverage the partner ecosystem to drive growth.
- Resilience & Grit: Thrives under pressure, embraces challenges, and models creativity, focus, and tenacity.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of cybersecurity challenges and the ability to position advanced solutions with credibility.
- Tools & Data: Skilled in leveraging CRM and sales tools to drive visibility, accountability, and business outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- SALARY | OTE: CAD $390,000 - CAD $420,000
