Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our Electrical Engineering team in the design, development, and delivery of industrial computer systems. This role is responsible for managing cross-functional projects from concept through production, ensuring that electrical engineering deliverables meet technical, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. The Project Manager will work closely with mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to successfully launch new products and sustain existing platforms.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and oversee electrical engineering projects related to industrial computer design and manufacturing.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and mentor the electrical engineering team; assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, procurement, and quality departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations; track progress against milestones.
  • Technical Oversight: Review electrical design work (schematics, PCB layouts, power distribution, compliance requirements) and ensure industry and company standards are met.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve project issues promptly.
  • Compliance & Testing: Ensure designs comply with applicable standards (UL, CE, FCC, RoHS, etc.) and oversee validation testing.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates; provide status reports to management and key stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices in project management, documentation, and process efficiency.
Requirements

Education & Experience

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training strongly desired.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in electrical or electronics engineering, preferably within industrial computing, embedded systems, or electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical teams.

Technical Skills

  • Preferred knowledge with UL, CE, FCC, and other regulatory certifications for electronic products.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Jira, or similar).
  • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems for project resource planning.
