The impact you will have on this role:
We are seeking an experienced IT Security Engineering, Associate Director, in leading the architecture, deployment and tunning of Akamai WAF solutions to protect DTCC Web application as part of the Zero Trust Network Security team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Cybersecurity with extensive experience in minimizing risks and improving the security posture for DTCC.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and tuning of Akamai WAF solutions to protect web applications.
- Provide technical guidance to the Network Security Engineers in various solutions not limited to Akamai, IDS/IPS platforms (e.g., Snort, Cisco Firepower, Fireye etc), Cisco Stealth Watch (SNA), DLP, Zscaler.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation related to WAF and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the overall strategy and roadmap for Network Perimeter security.
- Work closely with Security Architecture & Cyberthreat Fusion Center teams to identify improvements in existing solutions & design, implement and operate new security solutions.
- Assess security gaps in current architecture and process, have awareness of market trends and advancing capabilities in alignment to Zero Trust.
- Analyze security events and alerts, perform root cause analysis, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Managing, coordinating, and collaborating with highly skilled Cybersecurity engineers to meet their results and ensure smooth operation of the platform.
- Determine automation opportunities to guide and implement automation capabilities in Cybersecurity solutions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of Cybersecurity related experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience in the field of Cybersecurity with expertise in domains like Network Security and Zero Trust.
- Deep Hands-on technical experience in implementation of Akamai WAF, CDN, IDS/IPS , DLP Zero Trust technologies
- Experience and deep understanding of Cyber Security controls for SaaS Solutions, Azure AD, Azure
- Solid understanding of network protocols, DNS, TCP/IP stack, and web application architectures and Firewall Products.
- Experience with SIEM tools, packet analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve problems effectively and creatively while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity.
- Strong attention to detail and motivation to collaborate
- Industry security certifications such as CISSP or other cybersecurity domain coverage are preferred.
