Principal Cloud Architect (AWS)

We’re looking for a seasoned Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of modern, AI-powered customer experience solutions on AWS. In this role, you’ll architect end-to-end Amazon Connect contact centers, from contact flows and routing to Lex, Contact Lens, and Amazon Q in Connect, while also building the next generation of agentic AI capabilities using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Strands Agents, and MCP. You’ll bring deep expertise in serverless, secure, and compliant AWS architecture (including HIPAA and PHI workloads), paired with the consulting experience to guide client executives, mentor delivery teams, and shape multi-year technology roadmaps. Amazon Connect

• Designing and building Amazon Connect contact centers end to end: contact flows, routing profiles, queues, and agent workspace configuration
• Amazon Lex bots and Amazon Q in Connect for self-service and agent assist
• Contact Lens for conversational analytics, sentiment, and quality management
• Connect Customer Profiles, Cases, Tasks, and outbound campaigns
• Lambda and API integrations into CRMs and back-office systems (Salesforce, ServiceNow, claims and member platforms)
• Telephony and carrier integration, SIP, and migrations from legacy platforms such as Genesys, Avaya, or Cisco

Agentic AI on AWS

• Amazon Bedrock AgentCore: Runtime, Gateway, Memory, Identity, and Observability
• Building agents with Bedrock Agents and the Strands Agents SDK, including multi-agent orchestration
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool design and secure tool access patterns
• RAG with Bedrock Knowledge Bases, prompt engineering, and Bedrock Guardrails
• Agent evaluation, tracing, and production monitoring
• Model selection and cost/latency tradeoffs across Claude, Nova, and other Bedrock models

Core AWS Architecture

• Serverless and event-driven design: Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Kinesis
• IAM, security, and compliance architecture for regulated data, including HIPAA and PHI handling
• Infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines
• Well-Architected reviews, cost optimization, and observability with CloudWatch and X-Ray
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification preferred

Consulting and Leadership

• 10+ years in consulting with ownership of solution architecture across multiple client engagements
• Leading and mentoring delivery teams of engineers and architects
• Scoping, estimation, and SOW development; comfortable supporting pre-sales and expansion conversations
• Executive-level communication, translating technical decisions into business outcomes for client stakeholders
• Building and maintaining a multi-year client technology roadmap beyond a single project
• Working alongside AWS account and partner teams on joint delivery

Nice to Have

• Healthcare payer or Blue Cross Blue Shield experience
• Prior Technical Lead or account-level architecture role at a services firm
• Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud Voice or other CCaaS integrations
