Description

Alutiiq Information Management, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has a future opportunity for an Engineering Technician in the San Diego, CA area.  This position will support NIWC Pacific's AS-4775/U Broadband Communications Antenna, U.S. Army Wolfhound Direction Finding Antenna, Ships Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE MODS) system and High Gain Information Operation (HGIO) Antenna. The proposed technical effort is to aid the development of RF and antenna systems currently configured for US Navy fielded systems that are in an Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) environment. 

This position is contingent upon contract award.

  • Demonstrated ability to determine methods, operations, and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repair processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required.
  • Must work from schematics, engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical assemblies with shipboard and shore Antennae and Antenna Systems. 
  • Required to operate and maintain portable and non-portable RF electronic transmitting and receiving equipment, measuring and control equipment, microwave amplifiers, transmission lines, power supplies, network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and antenna systems.
  • Create and maintain test documents. Understanding of military specifications related to build, test, and system checkout of electronic systems, specifically MIL-STD-454.
  • Build, assemble and test RF cables, power and control cables; be able to solder and assemble PCB board in accordance with schematics.
  • Work shall include recommending changes or modifications to improve the operation or the quality of electronic and/or mechanical products and equipment.

Payrate: $30.00 to $40.00 Hourly



Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED; Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description or prior military training.
  • Proof of supporting technical schools, whether military or civilian.
  • While not required, Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline is desirable.
  • 2+ years of specific experience with RF communications and/or radar systems.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Have the ability to build, assemble and test RF cables, power and control cables; build be able to solder and assemble PCB board in accordance to schematics.
