As Director of IT for OT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology capabilities that enable resilient, efficient, and scalable supply chain and plant operations across PT. This role will lead OT optimization and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on governance, cybersecurity, execution and compliance, while building and managing a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value and align with PT priorities.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute PT OT strategy to optimize manufacturing systems—including MES, SCADA, PLCs, and data historians—to improve plant reliability, scalability, and operational performance.
  • Ensure standardization, lifecycle management, and cyber-secure deployment of OT systems across manufacturing sites, ensuring consistency, resilience, and risk mitigation.
  • Align OT architecture and data flows with ENIT systems to enable smart factory capabilities, digital manufacturing, and integrated operational insight.
  • Partner with site leadership and operations to prioritize OT investments, balance innovation with operational stability, and minimize disruption to plant execution.
  • Ensure robust governance, support models, and compliance frameworks are in place across OT environments, with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and safe operations.

Leadership & Financial Management

  • Lead and develop a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary global team across OT, setting clear expectations and driving accountability for results.
  • Lead the M&A Infrastructure, Operations and Security Team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, enabling teams to deliver results in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
  • Own and manage OT technology budgets, ensuring investments are aligned with PT business priorities and deliver measurable value and return on investment.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and value realization metrics, making data‑driven course corrections to ensure operational, financial, and strategic objectives are met or exceeded.


Qualifications

Must Haves

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and/or ISC platforms.
  • Proven experience managing OT initiatives.

WE VALUE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Master's degree in IT or related field
  • Leadership experience in two or more Information Technology, Engineering or Strategy functional areas 
  • Proven experience leading ERP transformations
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and security principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations related to IT infrastructure.
  • Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills 
  • Experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data privacy best practices 
    Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
  • Understanding of key information technology solutions and practices 
  • Strong business/financial acumen and ability to translate new technology into business value  
     

The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $177,000 - $221,000. This position is incentive plan eligible. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
