Role Overview:
We are
searching for an enthusiastic and committed DevOps Engineer & Technical
Office Manager - Greece to join our dynamic team at HFM. You’ll split your
time between building and automating our infrastructure and managing the tech
teams in Athens. Starting with initial training in Cyprus, then moving on to
full duties in Greece.
Your role at HFM:
- Architect, deploy and maintain CI/CD
pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack) for our
Athens office.
- Automate
container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud provisioning (AWS, Azure
or GCP).
- Lead
incident management: pilot response processes, meet agreed thresholds and track
KPIs (uptime, MTTR, incident volume).
- Serve as
Technical Office Manager in Athens. Supervise and mentor local engineers,
troubleshoot their technical issues, and coordinate escalations with HQ
supervisors.
- Report
your technical project progress to the DevOps Lead and deliver operational and
incident reports to senior leadership.
- Drive
continuous improvement, run post-mortems, refine our runbooks and push
automation to reduce manual toil.
- Complete
a structured training program in Cyprus before relocating to Athens to assume
full-time duties.
Requirements
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
or a related field.
- 3+ years in a DevOps-style role, SRE,
DRE/DBA, Cloud DevOps, DevSecOps, Release Engineering or DevOps Automation.
- Proven ability to lead a small
technical team or mentor peers in an office setting.
- Strong Linux administration, scripting
(Python, Bash) and configuration-management skills.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms
(Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI) and Kubernetes or equivalent.
- Hands-on practice with AWS, Azure or
GCP, plus monitoring/alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Track record defining, measuring and
improving key reliability metrics.
- Excellent communication and
coordination skills. You’ll liaise daily with both Cyprus HQ and Athens staff.
