Task Responsibilities:

  • The official internal title for this position is: Engineer Aviation Information Security
  • Ensure compliance with aviation cybersecurity regulations and standards.
  • Manage information security risks, mitigations, vulnerabilities and ensure the continued protection of critical systems.
  • Manage PKI infrastructure and associated services, documentation, and procedure.
  • Support the implementation of aircraft security log analysis and train relevant personnel.
  • Handle incidents and occurrences related to critical information and communication technology systems and processes in aviation systems.
  • Manage the internal and external information reporting scheme.
  • Be one of the IT representatives in an Aircraft Information Security Center of the company and support the Aircraft Information security specialist.
  • Provide expertise and training to the counterparts within the organization (Maintenance and Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground Operations)
  • Support the Cargolux Design Organization (DO) in complying with cybersecurity design requirements for aircraft modifications and configurations.
  • Stay up to date on developments in aircraft avionics systems and provide advice and support to the team responsible for design changes on aircraft and ground systems for the Cargolux fleet.

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Network & Information Security, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Knowledge of airline and aircraft systems is considered an asset.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or aviation engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in IT network and cloud technologies, as well as cybersecurity.
  • Deep understanding of software, network, and service architecture.
  • Experience with monitoring and intrusion detection methodologies for identifying host and/or network-based intrusion incidents.
  • Practical experience implementing log monitoring systems to detect security events in operational technology or aircraft systems is a strong asset.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to attend regular training sessions to stay updated with new technologies.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical approach, and research orientation.

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time contract based in our HQ in Luxembourg.
  • Working hours: Standard office hours, with occasional work outside of these hours
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of a positive selection.
