We are currently seeking a Cybersecurity engineer to join our Engineering Department dedicated to mechatronics braking systems development. In this role, you’ll contribute directly to the development of world-class products that deliver both safety and performance.

Your core responsibilities include:

  • Define and deploy ISO21434 cybersecurity processes and activities across the mechatronics programs to finally ensure UN R155 compliance.
  • Upskill System/HW/SW engineers focusing on cybersecurity impacts, responsibilities, and design implications within their respective scopes.
  • Own TARA outcomes, cybersecurity goals and CALs, and ensure alignment with safety (ISO 26262), quality, and program constraints.

Profile and Qualifications:

  • English : Fluid spoken and written (TOEIC > 850)
  • Japanese is a plus
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity of embedded system development for automotive
  • Hard skills
    • Mechatronic system cybersecurity analysis: ability to analyze ECU‑based architectures, sensors/actuators, networks, and interfaces to identify cybersecurity assets and trust boundaries.
    • ISO/SAE 21434 Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA): expertise in identifying threat scenarios, assessing feasibility and impact, and determining Cybersecurity Assurance Levels (CALs).
    • Cybersecurity requirements engineering: capability to derive cybersecurity goals and technical requirements from TARA and allocate them to system, hardware, software, and network levels.
    • Embedded cybersecurity architecture design: experience defining defense‑in‑depth concepts, secure partitioning, gateways, and trust anchors for embedded and mechatronic systems.
    • Hardware security mechanisms: knowledge of HSMs, secure boot, secure storage, Root of Trust, and debug/interface protection.
    • Secure software and communication mechanisms: understanding of authentication, authorization, secure diagnostics, cryptography, key management, and secure update/OTA strategies.
    • Supplier cybersecurity engineering: ability to cascade cybersecurity requirements and CALs to suppliers and review their security concepts, evidence, and compliance.
    • Cybersecurity verification and validation: experience defining and supporting vulnerability analysis, robustness testing, and penetration testing at component and system level.
    • Production and manufacturing cybersecurity: knowledge of secure flashing, key provisioning, access control, and protection of assets during production and logistics.
    • ISO/SAE 21434 compliance and traceability: proven ability to produce and maintain work products, ensure end‑to‑end traceability, and support audits and cybersecurity release decisions.
