Role Overview

We are looking for an expert penetration tester who can uncover and exploit vulnerabilities in next-generation automotive systems. You will work with leading OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to perform hands-on testing of vehicles, ECUs, networks, and embedded systems, exposing weaknesses and helping strengthen overall system resilience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct penetration testing of a wide array of automotive ECUs and systems.
  • Identify, expose, and exploit vulnerabilities in vehicular systems.
  • Research automotive networks, protocols, and embedded technologies.
  • Work with new, top-of-the-line vehicles and cutting-edge platforms.
  • Document penetration testing results in detailed reports and present findings to customers.
  • 3+ years of penetration testing experience in automotive, embedded, or low-level systems.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, network protocols, vulnerabilities, mitigations, and penetration testing methodologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Bash, C/C++ or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces (e.g., JTAG, SPI, soldering).
  • Knowledge of Linux/QNX/Android.
  • Self-driven, fast learner with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Read, Write, and Speak).
  • Excellent communication skills in Japanese (Read, Write, and Speak) – N1 level.
  • Offensive security background and vulnerability research experience.
  • OSCP or similar penetration testing certification.
  • Automotive testing knowledge (common protocols & security mechanisms).
  • Familiarity with ISO 21434, UNR-155, and NIST/ISO risk frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) methodologies.
  • Experience publishing research, CVEs, or presenting at security conferences.
