General Information:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our CORE Server Team for PRiME Middleware development and 3rd level support. PRiME is our core Production Control System that powers the production of around twenty plants. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of critical middleware and server components, ensuring robust encryption handling, certificate management, and optimal operation and development on IBM MQ and App Connect systems. You will play an integral role in advancing our middleware solutions and providing top-tier support.

Key Responsabilities:

• Collaborate with the core team to design, develop, and maintain middleware components crucial to enterprise operations;
• Provide third-level support and troubleshooting for middleware systems, ensuring high availability and performance;
• Manage and administer Linux environments to support middleware operations effectively;
• Implement encryption protocols and manage certificates to guarantee secure data transmission;
• Integrate and optimize IBM MQ and App Connect systems to enhance data communication and workflow automation;
• Identify potential risks and apply solutions for reliable operation of middleware platforms.
  
  

Your Qualifications:

• Academic Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience;
• Fluent English is mandatory;
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on middleware development and support;
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration and command-line tools;
• Demonstrated expertise in encryption handling, including SSL/TLS certificate management;
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with IBM MQ and App Connect for message queuing and integration;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to manage complex systems and requirements;
• Preferred: Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration tools like Jenkins or similar;
• Preferred: Knowledge in Cloud Computing such as AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS);
• Development skills: Java Terraform, GitHub, IBM MQ, App Connect, Shell scripting.
