Backend Developer

Building systems at Saliency

Saliency builds software systems on a fully remote basis worldwide. This backend developer role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure and server-side components that power our platforms.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using modern development practices.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure high availability across services.
• Write clean, maintainable code backed by comprehensive testing and documentation.

What we look for

• Proven professional experience in backend software development with relevant programming languages and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of database design, RESTful APIs, and distributed system architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and modern version control workflows.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a distributed, asynchronous team environment.

Your first months at Saliency
