We are looking for a mid-to-senior AWS Architect / DevOps Engineer to support the evolution of our AWS cloud platform.
This is a part-time contractor role (~20% FTE), ideal for an experienced cloud professional who wants to work on a modern, AI-enabled, AWS-native platform.
You will play a key role in shaping a scalable, and reliable cloud architecture, while defining DevOps best practices and ensuring cost efficiency, security, and resiliency.
Your responsibilities include:
Maintaining and evolving our AWS architecture, with a strong focus on:
Cost efficiency and optimization
Scalability and performance
Security and compliance
Reliability and resiliency
Designing and evolving the cloud foundations required to embed AI into the platform, including:
AI/ML workloads, experimentation, and deployment
Integration of foundation models and AI services into production workflows
Data pipelines and observability suited for AI-driven features
Defining and documenting cloud, DevOps, and MLOps-oriented best practices for the engineering team
Setting up and maintaining tools and processes for:
Monitoring and alerting (including AI workloads)
Logging and observability
Backup, recovery, and data lifecycle management
Ensuring a clean, consistent, and well-organized AWS resource structure
Setting up, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, including support for AI-related deployments and infrastructure
Acting as a technical advisor to the team on architecture, DevOps, and AI platform topics
You will work on an AWS-native, serverless-heavy stack including:
IoT Core, Cognito, DynamoDB, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EventBridge, Glue, Athena, QuickSight, SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amplify, CDK, CloudWatch, and WAF.
